Each dance album contained a complete evening's programme of traditional dances. The varied programmes include tunes of different moods, from light waltzes and easy saunters, to dramatic tangos, brisk military two-steps and lively Schottisches. The dance albums usually included a country dance and Sir Roger de Coverley, and always ended with God Save The King (the music for which was usually included, but not in this case).
Traditional folk tunes were sometimes included; this album includes The Irish Washerwoman.
The pieces are eminently accessible, and suitable for players looking for easy to intermediate pieces to extend their repertoire.
