Albert Victor Waltz LEAD SHEET
The Albert Victor Waltz, by Felix Burns, was published around 1889 and is named for the eldest son of the Prince of Wales, later King Edward VII. Albert Victor would have been King; but died in 1892 during the influenza epidemic that swept the country for four years.
His fiancée, Princess May of Teck, married his brother instead; they became King George V and Queen Mary.
Whether he would have been a good king is a matter of some debate; he may have had a mild learning disability. There was at one time some speculation that identified him as Jack the Ripper.
This pleasant and easy waltz has three parts and a 4/4 introduction.
